Fooooood! During our Xmas trip down to Virginia we took a few pictures of tasty things we ate.
Gingerbread Hizzle. My friend made this house which looked cool but didn't really taste very gingerbready. We won't say it tasted like an actual house, since we've never tried to eat an actual house. The birds were going to have to finish it for us.
Tastier pictures click the "Read more" below! Sorry in advance if you get all hungry.
Awww yeah. Here's the tasty rolls and butter from Texas Roadhouse. We were too eager to eat the steak, and neglected to get a picture of it.
This picture did not come out clear to see, but there was a car here in Virginia with a Texas license plate that was in front of the Texas Roadhouse. Do you think in Texas it's just called "Regular Roadhouse?"
Soft cookie with a scoop of ice cream on it? Only after we ate it did we think about warming up the cookie before we added the ice cream.
Arby's knows that kids these days don't want toys anymore so they just give you game codes instead. That's either sad or cool depending on your point of view.
My friend had a favorite Mongolian Barbecue place behind the mall that went out of business a few years ago. But we were told this place was nearly identical so we were excited to check it out!
There's the flat circle grill. Buffet bowls and stuff to put in them. My friend hasn't had this in quite a while could it be as good as he remembers?
The other place had the chef do the sauces, but here you do it yourself. I guess that's a pretty small difference. The sauces all seem to be the same.
They also were cooking multiple orders at the same time. We purposefully paused to allow the person ordering seafood to go ahead of us, and waited until it was done before handing over our bowl. My friend has a dislike of seafood so he didn't want any chance of flavors mixing on the grill.
Haha that chef is like "Ugh, is that a pony taking pictures over there?" Now you're on the internet, pal!
Soooo good. Flavor blast from the past. Just like my friend remembered. The fact that it looks like a meal they'd serve on the Klingon homeworld Q'onoS is a bonus.
They even had the crispy bread things, which were not as crispy today, but our friend promised us that they normally are.
Another friend-recommendation dive bar has awesome hamburgers so that just sounds awesome. Is this a local secret spot I'm spoiling?
This giant pile of food was just a little more expensive than what you'd pay at a Burger King. There's a huge burger under that pile of mushrooms and grilled onions.
One night we were indecicive and wound up at an IHOP. I got a big laugh out of the ad for the Minty Who hot chocolate. Who, me?
Once we remembered they have chicken and waffles at IHOP, we were all of a sudden super happy we went there. They have the best chicken and waffles!
