Wooo! Jersey Gardens Mall! It's been a hot minute since we've been here. So of course let's get some mall adventure pictures!
This mall is HUGE! It's basically a "Figure 8" layout with a full upper and lower levels of that. Just now I realized I didn't get a picture of the directory, but I guess that's online somewhere if you were curious enough to look for it.
Giant Pink Bear in the window of this Japanese-style merchandise store. There was quite a lot of those types of stores here, which is honestly fine by us! Who doesn't like random cute things?
There's a Lego Store here, and they still had some Aunt Beru Kitchen promo sets from the May 4th promotion! Except they were giving them away with only ALL Star Wars sets totaling over $160. Other Lego Stores just had to be $160 total, including one or a few Star Wars sets. That must be why they still had some left. Sorry Aunt Beru, but I don't want you or that much Star Wars sets enough.
One of the Japanese-style stores got us with some blind box figures from Disney's Wreck It Ralph 2, the "Comfy Princess" theme is a total highlight of the movie. These things rang up for $14 each, a little ouchy for random figures. We only got a couple of them, if they were less expensive we might have gotten more. Blind boxes can be terribly risky, but all of these characters are cute so it doesn't really matter which ones we get (just hopefully not a double!)
We stumbled upon this full-on pop culture anime store named QL Shop. I have no idea what QL stands for, but this place was packed full of cool things. Check out the giant Rilakkuma sitting on a bench in the window.
We totally picked up the Abigail Williams figure from Fate: Grand Order, she's that adorable Salem Witch on the left there. They were out of Tamamo figures but I would have picked one up for a friend if they had them. And I already have a different Hokusai figure so I figured (pun?) I could pass on her.
Capsule Arcade! The blinky lights were mesmerizing. This corner of the store looked like something straight out of Akihabara! Not that we've ever been to Akihabara, but some people might know what we're talking about.
This wall was tons of blind box figures of all kinds! With display shelves above them to tempt you with what the figures series look like. Blind boxes are horrible if you only wanted like, one figure from the set. Some people love the gamble aspect though. None of these were tempting enough since we had just gotten some a little bit ago at that other place.
Now that's a plushie! Full-on Hello Kitty race car! It's probably safe to crash that into things, right?
Knock-off Elsa on a motorized tricycle. Hey, Disney doesn't own that haircut, do they? That exact, unmistakable, "Let it go" haircut.
Xmas-sweater'd Stormtroopers? Darth Vader is wearing a sweater, too, so it's probably alright. Merry Life Day, we're looking for some droids.
The Love Tester! From Moe's Tavern. You can see Moe here in his get-up when he turned his bar into Unlce Moe's Family Feedbag restaurant hahaha. That other guy is the chase figure from the set, missing his little circle glasses, named Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo. I'm a big fan of The Simpsons but even I had to look that one up.
A little further into the mall and we see... QL Shop, again? They had a smaller shop on the other side of the mall. Um, cool?
So funny seeing the Squid Games merch with those little kids on the package. Those kids shouldn't watch that show! No spoilers, but it's kind of violent. A little. Did you read my sarcasm? I mean, it's a LOT violent.
Did I know that Mega Bloks had the Paw Patrol license? Not that I'm into Paw Patrol, but it's pretty popular, so this must be a big win for them, right?
Life-sized Vegita rocking his Power Level reader device. Can you guess what Minty's Power Level is? Say it all together now: OVER 9000!!!!
STUNNED! Why is there a Disney Outlet store here?! Didn't they close them all down?! The employee said they were a "Go Ahead" store and will NOT be closed! The one in Times Square is still there as well as one in Pennsylvania somewhere. Um... YAY!
Marvel has been cross-using their characters in many different shows and movies recently. Almost as if they are... playing with action figures?
Are these last year's Xmas ornaments? At what point do they become rare collectibles? I guess if there were any that would clearly have raised in value, they would not be in this leftover bunch. But still, your favorite character might still be here somewhere.
I took a picture of this adorable bird Rosita to find out where it's from. Google told me it was from the Tiki Room park attraction, and after I looked it up... I saw it says Tiki Room Series right on the tag. D'oh! Still, it's a cute bird and I do like it when very obscure things get merch.
Chip and Dale mugs! Watch those ears, you wouldn't want to... chip... your tooth on them!
It's fun to see a sort of in-world merchandise collaboration. The Droid Depot is the store in the theme park where you make your own droid to take home, and here's a playset for your figures based on that. Whoa!
Is that a "Mickey" version of the David S. Pumpkins jacket? Any questions? Yes, we have lots of questions!
Another pic I took to look up later, That shirt with the leaves is apparently from Moana. Which we saw, but I guess not enough to recognize that shirt from it. The other shirt we do recognize the Coco graphics, so that's something.
Grogu in a waffle cone? He's so adorable don't you just want to eat him up?!! He's even got sprinkles on his ears!
Saw these cute pins in Hot Topic. They are pins in the same art style as Nendoroid figures, in Nendoroid-looking packages. Much smaller than actual Nendoroid figures, I hope they make more like this!
Anybody remember the Powerpuff older sister who ran away when she lost control of her powers? Her name is Blisstina, or Bliss. And be prepared to tell the story every time you wear this t-shirt and people will surely ask you about it. Technically the 5th PPG since they already did a 4th-Girl episode with a character named Bunny.
Random biohazard specimen bag on the parking lot street? Welcome to New Jersey! You ain't seen nothin'... a'ight?
When we got home, we opened our Comfy Princess boxes and wound up with Jasmine and Murder. I know it's Merida, but when you watch the movie Brave, whenever they say her name with their heavy accents, it totally sounds like they are saying "Murder". With her personality, I think she might even like that better?
