Hot Dawgs Again

Since I posted a few times about this place closing down, I thought it would be fun to post about it's Phoenix-style rise from the ashes. Behind this sign is a CVS store, to the right of this picture is it's parking lot where the old Nathan's Hot Dog store used to be. So technically they tore it down and put up a parking lot.

Not too far away from where it was, the new Nathan's Hot Dog restaurant is a lot smaller with no arcades at all. This sign seems to be pointing the wrong way, but you have to drive completely around this shopping center to get to the drive thru.

Blurry picture inside. We should have taken a few more pictures but it was crowded and we were kinda hungry.

The Hot Dog was just as tasty as ever. We ate in the car watching The Walking Dead episodes on our Nook. Did we make zombie-noises while eating our lunch? Maybe....

Oh, I guess I should also mention a Happy Thanksgiving to everypony tomorrow! Go eat turkey and not hot dogs of course!

Breakfast Vacation

For our vacation we made reservations for breakfast at the Grand Floridian resort at Disney World. This is one of the fancier places to stay, even just for breakfast, so of course we had to take some pictures to try and get more value out of it.

The highlight was the epic Mickey Waffles. Disney magic hits again with what could have been simple waffles, but were somehow oh-my-goodness way more delicious than waffles normally are.

 Here's the lobby where there are ritzy shoppes everywhere.

Random lobby decoration. Is this some kind of old-style hamster cage or something? Take a picture of it anyway?

Some architect or designer somewhere should know that someponies somewhere DO appreciate this kind of detail in the floor tiling.

Pumpkin Surprise

So adorable! Leaving for work this morning and a squirrel was nibbling on our pumpkin friend Big 30. We managed to snap a couple of pictures to share!

A couple of weeks after Halloween and the cold air is preserving Big 30 pretty well. We can thump him, he's nice and solid. His pumpkin pal Little John is not doing so good he's in a melted slump there in front.

Awwwww! We were very careful not to make any sudden movements to scare this cutie away. Judging by the size of Big 30, our Squirrel Buddy should be a neighbor and recurring visitor for a while.

Because it's pumpkin-related, I thought I'd post this picture we took at Stew Leonard's. We thought it was funny they had a sign advocating the photo op. Of course we were going to take a photo with this thing!

Back to The Vacation

Posting up some more pictures from the recent vacation in Florida, here I am at the Universal Studios theme park!

The park is filled with all kinds of movie-themed rides and attractions, here I am standing next to the famous car that had to go Back to the Future! Great Scott! click on the "Read more" to check out some more attractions!

The Walking Minty

Happy Halloween my little ponies! If you recognize where I'm at then you are probably feeling very uneasy right now and scared for what might happen to me! Actually I'm safe at Universal Studios in Florida, where they have placed settings and props from the hit TV show "The Walking Dead" around the park.

 

During the weekends there are "actual" zombies walking around, but we were there on a Monday so we were just thrilled to see the props still around without the zombies. Check out Dale's RV! I'm actually standing on the hood! How cool is this?!

Squeee! It's Daryl's Crossbow! If you've seen the show, you'd be just as excited, I promise!

No spoilers here, in case you haven't seen the show yet, but this is from the 2nd season. It was kind of an important recurring scene. If you HAVE seen the show, then you can probably guess how I'm feeling right now?

Building Some Halloween Fun

BOO! I mean, um,... hi again! We actually got this giant Lego Haunted House -last- year for Halloween, and took some pictures and all, but delayed posting until it was awkwardly too late to be "Halloween" so we kinda thought we could always post it up next year, so here we go! Seems like it was yesterday? AAHHH that's a scary thought?!

 Look at all these bags full of Lego bricks! I'll be brave and see about putting this house together.

Great Pumpkin

Hi Everypony! My friends went and picked us some pumpkins at a local farm so it was time to make a new friend! And take pictures of course.

 

Here's the pumpkins they picked. We get to carve up the largest one here on the end, it weighed in at 30 pounds!
