Back with Minty fresh random pictures of stuff to check out.
Last week, Seth Meyers makes a joke involving the Philadelpia Eagles area McDonald's releasing Shamrock Shakes to celebrate the NFL season opening, saying the NY Jets celebrate by serving burgers dropped on the floor. Funny aside, we are close to living "in the Philadelphia area." and are very much excited.
There's one McDonald's close to us in New Jersey that always gets Eagles promo stuff for no particular reason. It always seemed odd but this time we are very happy they are the weird McDs.
Isn't it fun to get hyper excited over silly things? It's a freaking Shamrock Shake in September! They did not know how long it would last. All season? Guess we are rooting for the Eagles this year! Thank you Seth Meyers for the fun news, the NFL, and Philadelphia for um, choosing green as your team color?
Saw this pricey 12-pony set and took this picture to remind myself to look up which ponies were included. They had yet to do a Minty in the Cutie Mark Crew style and we had a feeling like they would do this type of thing to us.
Could you see where I was going with this? I'm not sure what's worse honestly, because these figures usually come in random boxes. So is it worse to buy many many boxes to get the one you want, or buy one expensive set and be sure? Either way, I sure am adorable!
We almost didn't take this picture; you see there was a Dragonfly sitting on that Mini Cooper's antenna, next to where we parked. Got out the camera, still in our car, and went to see if we could zoom in, and it flew away. We got out of the car and it went right back to the same spot. We got the camera out again and it flew away. Oh well... but then it went right back again! That Dragonfly really liked that Mini Cooper. So we got the picture and if you look real close you can see it there on it's favorite spot.
Did you ever shop Amazon and try to find something to get over the free-shipping limit, and pick something only to find out it's shipped from somewhere else and doesn't count towards the limit, and, what the heck buy it anyway? Super Points if you recognize this "classic" gaming character. Jump Up Superstar!
Separate Amazon thing, this box at work showed up with Taylor Swift ad graphics all over it. What a neat bit of ad space to get. If people start collecting boxes, they won't need to throw them in the trash. Brilliant!
Japanese Magic: The Gathering cards spotted at a Wal-Mart. There were four packs for $21. A phoned friend asked us to get one for him. Normally that's outside of our random-nonsense purchase limit but we were in a curious mood and got one for ourselves, too.
Only the top two packs were Japanese, there were two "normal" packs in the set. While we felt a little mis-led, it was still fun. This card totally says "You win next turn unless your opponent buys you a pizza." Yes, it does! See, right here it says: Urusai, Baka.
While checking out the cards, we spot a Pokemon we seriously do not ever remember seeing before. Stakataka? I'm a little worried this is some kind of "Mandela Effect" but there are like, a thousand Pokemon. Maybe this is a good thing.
My friend asks us what we're having for dinner and we text him this picture. Does this count as a vegetarian meal?
Went to the movies to see the latest Fast and Furious movie, Hobbs and Shaw. Saw this super funky poster for I guess the next Wonder Woman movie. They need to sell light-box frames at home. Where's my million dollars for that idea?
Are those control pads placed on Zelda's chest supposed to mean something? Yeah it could be worse, but pretty close, right? Go play with some of Zelda's... games.
I didn't have any particular person in mind when I took this picture. I know lots of people with cats. Still made me laugh.
This Supergirl figure was hitting all the right buttons. Cute. Supergirl. Harley Quinn color scheme. Cat for no reason. Then wham, $70. Ouch. That's a Supergirl-powered punch to the wallet we cannot take.
How YOU doin'? Lego set based off of the show Friends. Out on Monday but we waited until Tuesday because that's when the free set promo started. It was SOLD OUT! Could we BE any more disappointed?
Extra point is good! Why does this remind me of the Auto Pilot in the movie Airplane? Similar to the movie theatre popcorn association, I'll just remind everybody that you can watch a football game without the snacks. Some people insist you need the snacks.
Found a copy for ourselves of the Unstable Unicorns game that dominated that one day of vacation in the Outer Banks. The Gamestop exclusive version, too. Nobody was around to "Neigh" me.
Cersei Lannister on the Iron Throne is on clearance sale. This doesn't look too good for her...? Well if you haven't seen the Game of Thrones ending yet, I'll say that this should hit rock-bottom pricing soon enough.
I sent this picture to a few people who did not "get it" right away. I had to point out that the storm path looks a little... funny and why did they use pink for the color? Al Roker is usually the first person to bust the graphics people and point this kind of innuendo out.
