Two Days Away

Mini Vacay! It's the week of my friend's time share down in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Of course we're down for that! And there's pictures to share.

On the trip down, we stopped at an Arby's. Check out that Bourbon BBQ Barrel Stack sandwich they are advertising. It's got like EVERYTHING on it! We were not crazy or starving enough to try it.

My friend's brother's house had this praying mantis hanging out by the door. He says it's there a lot. So is this like a door guard who knows praying mantis-style kung fu?

He upgraded our car with a Starfleet warp drive. This only powers our phone chargers but it's nice to imagine having warp speed in the car. Engage!

There was a bit of lunchtime to waste before heading down to North Carolina, so we hopped into the "good" comic shop Trilogy. Here's an enormous figure for the game Dark Souls. It's like four feet tall! We forgot to ask how much it was.

Why is Cammy wearing M. Bison's outfit? Is she the villain now? She is trying to rob us of $400 for the cost of this figure. Ouch.

Joker here looks like he's ready for a vacation! He seemed to be telling us to go already, go on vacation! What are you wasting time in a comic shop for?

It's nice to see new figures from series that you've seen many years ago. Queen's Blade was a cool show and Airi here was a good villain. Not good as like a villain, but like a villain, who was kind of good. As in, not mean. Maybe some day we'll be able to afford a $300 figure.

Echidna is also from Queen's Blade and if you pay attention, she never really gets eliminated from the tournament. She just sort of goes away or something. Did you notice she has a snake for her underwear? Haha anime. Really, it's a good show.

Didn't feel like we had enough time to check out all of these Nendoroids, so we snapped a pic to see later. Anybody here that's cool?

We called them and they were still a little behind schedule, so we stopped into Cool Stuff, too. Yes, that's the name of the store and it's full of um... cool... stuff. Like this vending machine with Sailor Moon cameo charms. Why did we take a picture of cameo charms? Somebody knows.

Giant stickers for laptops or whatever. Shin Chan! Quick hide the cake you were going to eat later.

$40 for a set of metal dice? What kind of metal are they made out of? Hope you have a +1 Gaming Table to endure the impacts of rolling these.

Another cute anime girls card game we need to look up. It seems we take a lot of these types of pictures, and then never look them up. We'll still keep taking these types of pictures to look up.

Like this picture we took last time but forgot about, and then saw again. And then were like "Oh yeah! We were going to look that up!" maybe this time we will.

I did wind up telling my friend we saw this, and he said he already had it! But forgot to pack it for the trip like he wanted. We're all fans of the show RWBY.

Over-sized The Walking Dead figures purposefully made to resemble old G.I.Joe figures. They looked super cool but are obviously based on the comic book versions of the characters, which are different than the TV show. See in the comic book, Rick is missing his hand. Oh, um spoiler alert I guess.

There were a few others in this series so I thought I'd at least get a picture of some villains. Yikes what happened to The Governor in the comics? He's like missing his whole arm! I like how they gave him a megaphone accessory as he does evil speeches.

My friend just downloaded this Fate: Grand Order game to his phone and here's some figures for it. It says Series 2 so maybe we should look up if there are more of these. You get the characters randomly in the game, and also in these boxes! Good luck getting a match.

We drove past the Jollibee and even though we already ate lunch, we stopped to tag the statue and grab a picture. No worries that it won't be here for a later visit, that place was PACKED!

There's a couple pictures here for the trip home, there's actual "vacation" pictures to come. We stopped in the rest stop on the VA NC border which has these slot machines. And paused to imagine hitting a big payoff and then just staying rather than going back to New Jersey.

We sort-of almost didn't get this picture. We noticed it after a while, and barely got the camera out in time to snag the car pulling away from the stoplight. If you can't zoom in to see it, the sticker in the top middle says "Protected by Castiel".
