Pencil Case Cards

No theme again, just random pics from shopping and stuff.

Have your kid be a total rebel and bring this pencil case tagged with Pokemon Trading Card Game logos. Eraser, too. Do teachers still ban the actual Pokemon TCG cards from school? You can't ban my pencil case! Ha-HA! That Pikachu is mocking the teacher!

Did SmashBurger change their logo? How long ago was that? Did I just not notice it? Or... did I notice it right away?

Inside that SmashBurger, our booth had some kind of screw sticking out of the wall. I'm just stunned by the obvious dangerous-ness and how, why... what?? Did somebody think this was okay to leave it like this? Somebody surely knows there's a pointy metal screw sticking out of this wall.

Oddly feel the need to give a lot of respect to the crazy person working at Mattel who has a particular... "interest", and pitched this idea of Barbie dressed in mascot outfits. You know, the whole time, inside his head, he totally thought that somebody would figure out his "interest" and bust his idea, but he had an iron will not to blab about it, for however long this went through the production design, and they finally hit the store shelves. Hilarious. Put the bunny head back on, Barbie.

Did these things grow off of Groot? Are they selling Groot um... droppings? I asked him and all he said was "I am Groot!"

I was not foolish enough to think the actual Cheez-It squares looked like the pixel drawings on the package, but wouldn't that be funny if they did?

Is Ninjabread Man from something? I don't know. Hallmark Xmas ornaments already?

I have a friend who now lives with 11 cats. So here's some cats stuff for them.

So adorable, I had to get a picture of it. I can't think of anything else clever to say here. Oh wait... I just thought of something: um... is this a Meow-io Kart?

How crazy is it, that everyplace else has increased in price, to the point that Shake Shack no longer seems ridiculously over-priced anymore? I mean, it's still more that other places, but not double like it used to be. And I gotta say, it is one tasty burger.

Another visit to Andy's Brick Shop and some nice finds of some Lego stuff. We got the new pink-haired dancer spotted with Ree Yees, that normally comes in a $100 set, and an old villain from an ancient Adventurers dino set, for only $3?! This baseplate is amazing but it was $42... so we did not get it.

I can't remember if I took a picture of the slot car racing thing. I think the last time I was here, this wall had merch all on it. It's a neat thing to imagine all the kids making Lego slot cars to race.

While I'm here, I might as well get a picture with a bunch of old sets. This wall has a ton of 'em. Zoom in on the prices, a lot of them you can still read even though the picture is a little blurry.

Great reminder for how good the original Iron Man movie is. If this picture doesn't give you "the feels" go watch Iron Man again.

Do they still call Busch Gardens Williamsburg "The Old Country"? How old-country is this mug? It's next to this 1990-dated mug, so... that old?

Saw this wall of old connection wires and thought it would be a neat way to find that particular one you might need if you um, ... needed one. Because they probably don't sell VCR wires (or whatever) at the modern shops anymore.

Bank robber Elmo! "Elmo says stick 'em up!" Yeah it's also a little fun that this is a Covid-mask on a Elmo, too. Good job Elmo! See kids? It's not so bad wearing the mask; Elmo is fine with it!

Neat to see "Pride" merch for Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, because y'know, it's Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn, and they've been "a thing" together. But... Robin? That must be one of the "other" Robins that I don't know about. Batman has had a few sidekicks named Robin so it's believable that one of them would belong in a "Pride" set.

Which one is the purrrrr-fect Catwoman? How many Catwomen has there been? Even in the old Batman TV series there were a couple! It's like picking which James Bond is your favorite. They all have good moments. But my friend says it's no contest; Newmar is the best.

I've never quite liked the Bratz dolls (something about the facial proportions didn't seem right?), but I saw these Mini Bratz and they looked pretty cute! Does this mean I'd like them if they were just farther away from me?

Just when I noticed them the first time, there's already a SECOND series of the Barbie-in-mascot outfits! That one guy at Mattel still can't believe nobody has looked into this! Inside his head he is doing flips of excitement and still has the willpower to keep his mouth shut! I mean, they are just Barbie characters in mascot outfits. Surely there's nothing wrong with that.

Transformers "Legacy" figure has Buzzsaw as a wasp of some kind? Um... Buzzsaw was one of Soundwave's casette tapes. The tape transformed into a bird. How can "Legacy" get this wrong? Boo.

They made a figure for Mrs. Hancock! Truely a WWE "legend", that character probably would not be able to exist today. She was a wrestling manager who would wear the shortest skirts and "accidentally" distract her client's opponents simply by bending over during the match. Away from them. And it was impossible to not be "distracted" by it!

It's a funny luggage tag! But also, are we fat-shaming the luggage now? Is this somehow not cool?

Ranger and Acrobat spotted on the D&D Starter Set box! Those were characters in the cartoon series. The Ranger on the box even has the unmistakable energy bow! And if you peek at the tiny picture on the back, you can clearly see the Cavalier with his shield in the middle of the picture on that page, too.

Torture yourself with "flavor" candles you can't eat! NO, KIDS! No cereal for dinner! Here, smell this candle instead. And also, the candle is twice as expensive as the box of cereal! Why not just get some cereal!?
