It's been a while since we've been down to the Berlin Farmer's Market, which is a flea market. I guess they can't change the sign. It was a boring Saturday so let's go see if we can check out some fun stuff.
It was a HOT day. Fortunately this is mostly indoors in this incredibly long building. We weren't looking for anything in particular. Maybe something there would find us? That's not a teaser, we actually didn't find anything. But it's always nice to look around.
Who needs a directory? I thought the whole point was to wander around a flea market. Oh, look! We're right next to the toy store.
This character is from a game that came out like 25 years ago. Did anybody point out that Dixie Kong is not wearing any pants? She's wearing a shirt, and a hat. Animal characters have no rules, do they? Wait... where are my pants?
Here's some characters you'd expect to find at a flea market. This is quite a contrast because Mini Me is so funny but then the Edith Keeler episode was so tragic. Still they are both very excellent in their own ways.
That Hot Pepper was only $6 but we passed. We're fans of hot peppers but maybe if he was green like a jalapeno we would have gotten him.
And that's what we're talking about! Those Funko Mystery Mini figures usually come randomly in boxes, but here you can pick the specific one you want. Yay flea market! And they are even cheaper that the boxes. We almost bought a couple. Can you zoom in and guess which ones?
I don't think Threepio and Artoo would melt in your mouth. Certainly not in your hand. Come to think of it, the M&M characters are a very odd thing. Am I supposed to want to eat up Princess Amidala? We all agree that the Green M&Ms are the best ones, right?
I hear some really funky music going on in my head right now. Is that fun that an outfit can give that kind of reaction?
Two funny books spotted in the book store place. Rainbow Dash's signature Sonic Rainboom maneuver nod to the PBS show Reading Rainbow. And what the heck, Star Wars? A little kids book called "I am a Stormtrooper"? Those are the bad guys, right? Is it like; page 1: Today we slaughtered helpless villagers. Because they did that in the movie.
This entire store fits in your pocket! Might already be there.
Is there a Lion Head Rabbit Pokemon? Because there's a real-life one right here. Simb-unny! Cue up the Circle of Life music.
This Area 51 thing is making the rounds on the Internet. Like a massive hippie movement to free the aliens or something. Here's the fishtank version of that.
Oh,yeah. If you are going to get a rat, skip the Small and Medium, and go right for the Large. If you get a Medium rat, would it eventually become a Large rat?
Oh, arcades. My friend has like this whole thing in his house right now. Played this very game on it. Now all he needs is a claw machine.
Bonk's Revenge! Bonk was a game that originated on the Turbographx 16, and here on the Nintendo Gameboy was one of the first examples of a console mascot character jumping to a different brand. There's some more treasures in here.
Rare Finds! I didn't feel like browsing for any specifics, so I took this picture to check later. Do you see anything you thought you'd not see here?
That's a pretty good price on cauliflower. We didn't check on the jalapenos because we don't really think this is close enough to get to every other Friday.
Hehe Embroidery machine. We have some of those where we work. They are quite common to see, but we still get a little smile out of it somehow. They're here if you need them.
1000 Nerd Points for each one of those Star Trek ships you can identify. A lot of them appeared only in one episode each, and they are not really in scale with each other. Honestly my Trekkie friend was not able to immediately get them all. Is that good, or bad?
Cool! Guitar shaped keys! I don't know much about specific guitars, are any of these matched to any performers? Where's the purple one for Prince? Did Prince have a purple guitar?
Here's some keys for your pal who always forgets what key goes where. You poke him in the eyes with it and scream "You IDIOT!" SMACK! OWWW!
Not quite sure what to think of this outfit. Except it probably quadruples your Toughness-Looking score while you wear it. Getting picked on at school? Not anymore! Who would mess with anybody wearing an outfit like this?
Um. Yikes. I was going to try and find something funny to say about this, but I don't think it's possible. I guess if you want shirts like this, they got them for you at the flea market.
This one is kind of funny. My friend had the brief passing thought about wearing this hat to work, but instantly knew that NOBODY would find it funny. Which is a funny thought, in a way.
