Hot Day of Vacationing

One last bunch of pictures for my Friend's visiting Parent's trip. We're still in New Hope if you missed the last bunch of pictures. And it's like 100 degrees outside.

There's a more nature-style trail this way along the river, but we chose to go down the street with the shops to stop in. While this trail does have a bunch of shade, it was mega-hot that day and we would need air conditioned shops instead.

Up by the river is this building they are never going to get around to restoring for history stuff. It should be some kind of house for the guy watching the river gates.

Funny sign about not being a quitter. In front of the Zelda store so let's all get some appropriate video game music stuck in or heads.

I think we found where the risque-clothing store moved to. Again, it would have been fun to check out, but my friend was not about to drag his parents through there. Although, they might have found it fun on some level.

This little door-window in the Visitor's Center was painted over. But we wanted to whisper a password to a mysterious guard through this thing.

Haha I signed it "Minty." I thought about putting the web address next to it, but that seemed like it would have been too much somehow.

This desk fountain in the Visitor's Center was teasing us with the running water sound. We only stopped in to escape the heat outside for a minute.

New-camera can see those fish swimming down there in the clear water. I wonder if they are as hot as we were?

We were trying to illustrate the concept of taking a picture of the plaque, so you can read it later. It's too hot to stop and read it now. So here it is, like we promised.

I only included the plaque here by accident, I took another picture of this cannon because it was obvious at a glance to my friend's Dad that those cannon balls were a lot bigger than the cannon barrel. And he got a big laugh out of it.

This side-path was leading to some regular homes around here. Not sure what this whole mess was about, but it was funny enough to get a picture of.

After a break to destroy some large Coolatas at the Dunkin Donuts, we went back over to Lambertville to check out some shops around there. Here's a cool painting in an art shop window.

Is this what they mean by "tree hugger?" Seeing this on such a hot day was sad for the tree, which surely did not need a sweater.

George Washington's buddies? That's kind of cool. This Church next to this graveyard has been here for hundreds of years, too.

Random dino plushie in a shop had a very My Little Pony-look to it. We didn't take a hundred pictures in the shops this time.

Not only were these a special blend of creepy/funny/cool but they were also called "Pot Heads" which is also funny. What do they expect you to grow in these?

Been a while since we've seen a tree growing through a fence. Got any of those around where you are?

"Couples Massage Special" sounded funny to my friend, but now that he sees this picture it makes him sad a little. But still, gotta wonder about that Special. If I'm trying to cheer him up I could suggest that maybe he could use a good massage.

Pizza! Back at home enjoying some of our favorite pizza from nearby Romeo's. They sat us in the "fancy Italian restaurant" half of the place, but all we wanted was some simple awesome pizza. Pretty exhausted from their recent travels, my friend's parents left the next morning. It was a fun couple of days.
