Yord Who?

 Howdy! Back again with more pics and fun thoughts. I think I like to take pics of pop culture stuff just so I can share my feelings about it. Or maybe that's just a coincidence. Either way, enjoy the pics.

Remember this guy? No? Star Wars Acolyte created a whole bunch of neat characters, and then immediately killed them all. Sure it creates shocking moments for the show, but you can't get attached to characters that are quickly gone. The Tie Defender was created for a video game ages ago, during that period of time when Star Wars was not getting much new toys (if you can believe that!) so it's neat to see a toy of it.

Whoops that's quite a wait. Sorry for the delay in posting, thanks again for checking back. Still trying to settle into new routines. Um...  Dancing back to share some pictures and comments. Pop culture type of stuff. Well, stuff we kinda like, anyway.

Even though we are pretty sure The Masked Singer is 100% scripted at this point, we still enjoy watching it. Who cares if it's not really a true competition show; they did a Star Trek theme episode and the backup dancers were the whole thing that night. Klingons dancing with a Cat Witch!

Um.... Why would you buy the ball of rubber bands? Isn't this like buying a finished puzzle with all the pieces together? You are supposed to put the rubber bands into a ball yourself. These are even all different colors like you collected them from all around the office. Is this just a decoration?

Hi! welcome back! or um,... Welcome! There might be a chance this is your first visit, right? You should already know the premise of this blog is taking pictures we saw and making fun comments. Like we're hanging out. Except I can't hear your comments about the pics. Maybe you need a blog, too? Would you blog about MY blog? Um, that sounds complicated. Nevermind. Enjoy my fun comments.

Bo shuda! That's a greeting from Jabba the Hutt. Y'know, from Star Wars. I saw this plaster kit and it looked like Elsa and Anna were frozen (heh) in carbonite like Han Solo was. They would be a much better decoration, you think? Would that even work on Elsa? The cold never bothered her anyway.

Hah! Poor Dwayne Johnson. He did a photo shoot wearing this fanny pack and turtle neck, which he got teased about a lot. I wonder how many people sent him this figure to remind him of that. That photo was back in 1996 before Internet memes were even a thing, it could have been much worse.

Moving Water

I guess I should post this batch of pictures before the time drifts too far away for it to be relevant. I'm also not sure most of y'all will find this little story particularly entertaining, but my friend wants to have some kind of record in pictures. Remember not long ago we moved? Part of the moving adventure involved disassembling the waterbed. And... Here's pictures of how that went!

You're first thought might be "Waterbeds are still a thing?" and the answer would be... He's had that Waterbed for over 35 years. He'd be happy to describe the unique, amazing comfort, but that would be a painful reminder that this is currently in a storage unit. I guess that's a spoiler that we got the task done, but it was quite the day...

Stranger Pics

 Wow. It's been a while. Thanks for checking on me. There was more than just my being lazy causing the delay this time, but I don't want to dwell on that here. Let's just get some fun pictures going, and fun comments on them. I do hope to settle back into posting something at least once a week, eventually, so thanks again for sticking around.

I saw this Stranger Things figure pack before they released the final season, and I thought they might have spoiled something. See how the chase version of Steve is in black & white? Like the chase version of Eddie? And... Spoiler-alert... Eddie didn't make it through his season. So When I saw this I thought poor Steve might not make it, either. Did he? You watched it, didn't you?

Random Match-up

I thought it would be a nice idea to break up the we-moved pics with a regular old random bunch. I still have a few groups of pics involving moving, but I can share those later. Some of these might be old, but the fun comments should still be um... fun.

Is this a fair match-up? Wonder Woman vs Godzilla? Clearly Wonder Woman would win, right? very odd that this would include a regular-sized figure, and a smaller one, but the smaller one is still way out of scale to be used with Godzilla. I don't think they would fight, technically. She'd probably just pick him up and move him away from the city. Easy peasy.

More Moving Pics

Hi! By "Moving Pics" I mean the act of relocating yourself, not like, emotionally-moving. Though there's plenty of that to be had, for my friend. Trying to settle in and find new routines, and finding time to do this picture sharing thing. Did you know we moved? Here's some more pics from that. This is more of a greedy record for ourselves, but I hope you still find it interesting.

While cleaning out to prepare for the move, we found this old fortune cookie um... Fortune. Seems like we've "used" it before, and we're about to use it again. I'll save you the hassle of zooming-in, it says "A good time to start something new."

The Big Truck

 HI! It feels like it's been a while since I've posted something. It's just that we've been a bit distracted recently. By the picture below, you may be able to guess the reason. I won't bore you with the details about why, but we needed to move! All the stuff! To a whole 'nother State! There will be other posts about packing up, but I thought I'd start off with the big truck pics.

Here it is. The U-Haul 20-foot "Family Mover" which we scouted ahead as probably-big-enough to fit our stuff. Not a family, but that much stuff. By this time, most of the apartment was in boxes, so we had a good idea of the size we'd need. And the smaller trucks would have been too small.

Wake up! We got some Hot Wheels coffee. Tiny regular cars are plenty cool, but wacky cars are fun to see, too. I always find it funny when colors are used to imply connections. The dark green and brown colors are clearly meant to be Starbucks, no need to have it actually say the name.

 Picturetopia 2! It's like a sequel to the pictures I posted. Can you tell I'm struggling to come up with funny little openers? I post pics and comments. Enjoy!

Zootopia 2 figure pack. This is a clever evolution of action figure purchasing. Rather than just get the few characters you wanted, they make you get all of them in one big pack. That way, there's not a few unwanted characters doing the thing called "shelf warming" at all.

Shrinking Pictures

 Let's check out some fun pictures! Sharing my thoughts to go with 'em, too.

It would be easy to take a poke at the Ant-Man and The Wasp Quantumania movie, but I thought it was okay. It was funny to notice the shrinking price. Get it? Because he has shrinking powers?

Jar of Rocks

 Pictures and comments at rock-bottom prices! That might not be as low as you think...

Nine bucks, for a jar of rocks... At the thrift store? Thrift stores are famous for crazy-low prices, usually. How much do rocks normally cost? I have no idea, but this seems very high to me. They are a nice minty-green color, but I'm going to pass on the $9 rocks.

Random Blockbuster Pics

Considering the epic three dimensional visuals in the Avatar movies, the action figures should make you feel like you are in the movie even more. Since they are physically in 3D. Also, how cool was Varang? I was going to do a "she's hot" pun, because of her fire tribe, but I feel someone else probably already did that.

Disney & M & Ms

 Did I skip a week? whoops! Thanks for checking back. This little batch of pictures if from my Holiday trip up to New York City. Just Disney and M&M store stuff, but there's a lot of neat things to see in each of those places.

Where's The Disney Store? Most of them have closed down, but there are still a couple open outside the theme parks. Times Square is one of 'em! This is right in the middle of where all the tourists go.

Game of a Game

 Alright! I'm back with some random shopping pics. I still have some of those Xmas pics but I thought I'd fill in some normal-style pics so it doesn't get boring. Would it? I don't know. I'm just rambling at this point. Enjoy some fun stuff we saw.

Tecmo Bowl! A board game of a video game. Do you get an auto win if you get Bo Jackson? That guy was impossible to tackle. There was a funny Family Guy bit about that.

Xmas Flashback

 Is it too late to post Xmas pics? For the last few years, I've noticed I'm in more of a Christmas mood after the day passes. I don't think me being sick this year helped, but now that I'm feeling better, I want more Christmas time.

Whoa! Recognize this logo? It's Spirit Halloween, except it looks like they pivoted into a different sort of Spirit: Christmas! And now everybody all together say it was so obvious why haven't they done this yet?

Late Xmas

Hey! Sorry I took a little break, can I call out sick? I kinda was, so I prioritized couch slacking over picture commenting. My friend and I took a trip up to the "Big City" and must have picked up a common cold as a souvenir. The trip itself was fun though, so enjoy some Big Apple pics!

Here's the train station! It's been a long time since we've done this, so it took a little bit of remembering to buy a ticket and pay for the parking. Train tickets were around $19 per way, and parking was another $7. So... $45? A little more, with some tax or whatever. I don't know how much tolls on the Turnpike are right now, but it seems like the train is a lot less expensive, probably.

Robot Pirate

Yarrr! Star Wars does legit space pirates with the Skeleton Crew series. It was a short number of episodes where some kids got lost on an old pirate space ship. I personally find it silly when Star Wars uses "decoding" to the droid designations; here the droid SM-33 is "named" after the Peter Pan character Mr. Smee. Get it? They used the 3s as backwards "E"s. Yeah. I know. It's kind of clever but a little... What's the word? Cringe? I did love the little space rat that had a home in it's skull-eye-hole. That part was very clever.
