Natural History 3/3

Time for one last batch of pictures before the Natural History Museum closes for the day! Why do the museums close so early? I bet there's a display explaining that somewhere?

Actual space travelers! They may just be rocks, but they traveled through space to get here! If they could only tell stories.

Mostly rocks when you click the "Read more" below, but they're pretty cool rocks?

This big crystal meteorite was loved so much they buried it with people? Why is it here? Shouldn't they have left it alone?

Alright! They got meteors you can touch! This is what it would look like if I was in space!

Nothing like standing on an ancient billion-year-old rock!

Here's me touching a piece of Mars! People didn't bring this back from Mars but somehow they figured out this meteor came from Mars.

Is that really how big the Moon is? It's a lot farther away than that for sure.

More cool rock patterns. This rock was "squished" haha.

This is what they make nail files out of. Touching it now it's very smooth.

This blue rock was kinda.... wait for it...... cool.

Why do we like rocks so much? There sure are a lot of neat looking patterns.

What happened to this poor rock with those things all over it?

Another alien-looking landscape for me to take a picture on. Rocks make these cool shapes somehow.

More squished rock layer patters. You got to be pretty strong to squish a rock!

This rock was spinning around so you could see it pass the Geiger Counter and register radioactivity. Wait, is that SAFE? The rock is obviously RADIOACTIVE the sensor clearly shows it!

This rock formed underwater so it gets neat shapes.

This is by far, the most "metal" rock, we have ever seen. "Metal" in the rock-and-roll sense, of course.

At this point we realized there's not that much time left, so we're just grabbing pictures of cool rocks. There are pointy ones and bubbly ones.

Hey, my backyard has a bunch of rock, lets make a museum!

This looks dangerous. Here,... catch! Could you imagine? Haha

Another big geode thing. Too big for the gift shop?

This almost looks like a painting! But it's a rock!

Oh, wow check out those patterns. Is this an art museum or a rock museum?

Here's what gemstones look like before the jewelry store gets a hold of them.

Ah.... Ah.... CHOO!  And here's a rock!

Those are some nice color combos there.

Please touch! The crystal, not ME!

Turning the corner and seeing the display of jewelry, we remembered the Hope Diamond was here! It's right over... there! Behind the door they just closed. Because it was time to kick everypony out.

And here's a sampling of thousands of people pouring out of a building. It was pretty fun after all.
