International Spy Museum!

There it is. I would say that meeting my friend's family and spending time with them was the best part of our trip to Washington DC, but by far the second coolest thing was the International Spy Museum. I took tons of pictures so by the time I'm done you might feel like you've been there yourself?

Here in this building is a bunch of not-so-secret secrets stuff. There's maybe a little philosophical debate to be had about revealing secrets in a museum format, like showing how the magic tricks are done? Time to go behind that curtain!

Click on the "Read more" on a need-to-know basis only.

Text to read. This message will self destruct in 30 seconds?

There was a line to get in. At first we were a little discouraged but we figured it would probably be worth the wait. It was totally.

Here's the cool guy with a dream who made this whole thing happen. This is the "real" history museum?

Did I mention you have to pay to get into this museum? Got a coupon in the Hotel lobby for a few $ off it was about $20. It was still worth it.

Here's some outfits from a James Bond movie. There was a big James Bond section here, too. Lots of pictures later on that.

Hehe not a "coat" room, it's a "cloak" room. Is there a "dagger" room?

Need a Wifi spot? This computer enabled drone will intercept your emails and stuff. Is bright yellow the best color for it?

It's the villain's car from the James Bond movie Spectre. From the best scene where they are car chase battling over the ice.

Giant lizard on the wall. Couldn't find the plaque explaining it but it's probably a decoy of some kind?

Just off the elevator you enter a room full of fake dossiers to try and memorize for your "cover." My friend chose Dimitri Ivanov because he has Russian heritage and would best fit that part.

A bunch of intelligence organization emblems all around the walls. Wait, is that one BATMAN? .... mind...... blown.

Real material from the fake movie Argo; about the real covert rescue of Americans from um, I have't seen the movie sorry.

Still not sure if these were props from the movie or from the real rescue. Maybe both? It looked like a good movie we'll have to make the time to watch it.
