There's a lot more pictures from the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. I suppose I should start off with something like "spoiler alert"? Does this count as a sort-of movie or something? There's not much of a story except the one you make up yourself with your own personal vacation activities. The locals say "bright suns!" to greet you during the day.
There's a big 'ole X-Wing Fighter over there! It's a little strange that this is still only a picture. You really need to be here yourself to get the big "WOW!" out of it.
Taking a soda break, we notice some Stormtroopers patrolling the walkway over on that roof over there. They are heckling the crowd below. I didn't get a picture of this, but Rey walked by and my friend asked her if she had a name for her staff. She said it was just a piece of "scrap metal" and nothing more, with a smile.
More Troopers walking around. Must be fun being those guys. They probably grew up playing with Stormtrooper action figures and now they are doing it as an actual job? How mind-blowing!
There's a whole shopping bizarre area. These signs are not helping identify the stores much, but they are neat anyway.
Even the tiny shops have cool random stuff in the corners. Like this unnecessary heater stove.
Haha red and purple space popcorn. If you zoom-in, you can see the alien text on that says "Caution Hot Surface" Hey, it's not our fault you can't read that.
There's a clothing shop with some kind of Embroidery Droid! Check out these spools of thread in these spots. We need to learn more about this guy, since we do embroidery work back on our home planet.
Star Wars clothes color palettes for the fashion people. Do you think the movie wardrobe team helped out with this?
They tiny little toy shop was a lot of fun. See those "action figures" up there? They are meant to look like something you'd see other Star Wars characters playing with. So they are purposely awkward. I think those are just for display.
Make sure to look up to see the Millennium Falcon being chased by Tie Fighters through the asteroid field.
Hanging on the wall... Whose pod racer is that? My friend played a lot of the video game but that was a while ago, so he can't recall right away.
If you spot these QR Codes, they are used with the phone app. You can play a little game to unlock this crate and see what's inside! They are found all over this outpost.
There's a cool display of oddly tiny-sized ships over here. That middle one looks awesome, I wants one.
Loth Cat! Sleeping cheerfully in the creature shop, cuddling it's little Porg toy. It looks soooo real, breathing and making little cute noises.
The tag on the cage says it's from the planet Lothal and it's diet is loth-rats. It's name is "Tooka."
This creeper had glow-y blinky eyes. Check me out, checkin' you out.
Why can't there be more cuddly creatures like the Loth Cat? I suppose somebody from another planet might find this this cute and cuddly.
Above the water fountain: "Warning this water is not safe to consume for most lifeforms. Please drink with caution." Haha it was fun to watch everyone drinking, unable to read this warning. Is there a lesson here?
Above the water fountain was this tank of water. I was not quick enough to catch the picture, but if you watch it for a while, you'll see a familiar creature peek it's eye above the surface.
This corner looked like an un-attended vendor stall. check out that old R-2 droid body being used as a barbecue! Yikes!
They really did a great job of making this place look like the locals live around here. You think there's a New York City corner on some other planet that aliens think looks super cool?
See those red lights? My friend used his phone to hack it! This antenna will be broadcasting for the Resistance!
This turret it right outside the newest ride, which was not yet open when we were there. Probably will be by the time you read this, we missed it by a few weeks.
This power droid is hooked up to this antenna my friend is trying to access with his phone. You really could imagine your own adventure here.
If only we could hack into this A-Wing and take it for a spin. The text on the cockpit says "CJ Avila 10 21" is that some kind of hidden message?
Is that the Black Spire? This place is called the Black Spire Outpost. Even the distant landscape says you're on planet Batuu.
We caught a neat "show" where Chewbacca, Rey, and some unknown Resistance Worker did repairs on this X-Wing. They were plugging various hoses in various places, smoke and all. They were talking but we couldn't quite hear them. Like I said, to them, this is just like regular life. We're just happy to be here.
